The moon dresses in clouds to hide,
it is a date with Past, tonight.
An owl hoots in the swirling fog,
eleven bats hang on the clock.
The garden dances in the dusk,
the deads get up, shake off the dust.
Shadows appear along the path,
grey skin, sharp teeth, snake tongue, red eyes.
Witches and elves slink in the house,
a spider spins web on your mouth.
The floor groans up under a step,
you feel someone's breath on your neck.
The candlelight sways, and a pale,
old worn out painting tells a tale.
At last, the sky brings forth the dawn,
and all things find their way back home.
Halloween
Felhők mögé bújt a hold,
Összeér a van, a volt.
Köd szitál, bagoly huhog,
Denevér száll, imbolyog.
Táncol a kert, felsikolt,
Holtak rázzák le a port.
Árny suhan, kattan a zár,
Vámpírfogat rejt a száj.
Láthatatlan súly alatt
Padló ropog, nyög a pad.
Parázs izzik, gyertya ég,
Mesét mond a régi kép.
Ajtód előtt csúf manók,
Hálót sző köréd a pók.
Jön a hajnal, fut az éj,
Mind, mi volt, a múltba tér.
