Diószüret

Régi asztal, kopott fiók,
aranybarna, kövér diók,
dióhéjtól barna ujjak,
hangyák, pókok szertefutnak.

Fenyőágon mókus szalad,

sütőtökön szalmakalap,
mézszínűre érett, kerek
nap ragyog a fejünk felett.

Csipkebokor szelet szaggat,

tépett szél az égre aggat
felhőfoszlányt, fázó holdat.
Eső hátán jön a holnap.

Walnut harvest

Old table with worn out drawer,
goldenbrown nuts on the ground,
walnut shell stained little fingers,
ants and spiders run around.

Waggish squirrel on the pine branch,
pumpkins sit with big straw hats,
honey-coloured ripe round sun shines
bright over our tousled heads.

Wild rose bushes rend the wind and
ragged wind stirs up the sky...
shivering moon, some shreds of clouds...
rainy days will soon arrive.

I so wish we could grow walnut trees here. :)

    1. Dear Sara! I didn’t know that walnut trees could not be grown in your country. I love them! In my childhood I played a lot on the walnut trees in my grandparents’ garden. And of course I like walnuts too. :) Thank you for your lovely comment! Have a great week as well!
