Dressing warmer

"October turned chilly and dark,"

mommy says, "dear, wear hat and scarf!"

Though she is cold, I know I'll sweat,

but I love her, so I do that.

Looking for homeland

I'm looking for a homeland.
They have stolen mine.

There are no more free places,
there are no more free words,
there are no more free thoughts.

They destroy education, healthcare.

They destroy nature.

They robbed us of our pride.

We did everything we could,
but they have stolen the laws as well.
Nothing left just helpless rage and shame.

I'm looking for a homeland

that I can love, where I can belong,

and that forgives me if I dream of

a time when I can be proud

of my mother country
again.
